FAQ

Our classes are designed to make you a fluent English speaker by focusing on conversational skills, accent reduction, advanced grammar tenses, and writing.

Each class is 1 hour long, and will be focused on a specific subject (such as conversation, writing, or accent reduction). During the hour, each student will have plenty of opportunity to practice the subject and interact with the teachers. Daily, live English practice is a great method of building your confidence and skills, and you’ll notice improvement very quickly.

Yes! Every class is live and taught by both Jayden and Karla.

Classes are limited to six students, which allows us to dedicate lots of time to each individual student. By having these small class sizes, we can offer cheaper prices while still maintaining high amounts of teacher-to-student time.

Yes! The classes are taught by Jayden, a native English speaker from San Diego, California, and Karla, a native Spanish speaker from Guanajuato, Mexico. Both teachers are certified to teach English as a Second Language (ESL). And, both teachers attend every class, which allows us to give every student the attention they deserve.

The schedule can be viewed here, on our “Booking Calendar” page. You will see our weekly schedule here, along with a tool to adjust the schedule for your specific time zone. This is also where you’ll register for classes once you’ve purchased a learning plan.

Our learning memberships include several different types of classes (conversation, accent, grammar, reading), and different hours available for each class. The good news is, you’re able to choose and attend any of these classes if you sign up for a membership. If you wish to only take conversation practice so you can build your confidence, you can choose to attend only conversation classes. If you want a mix of grammar and reading, you can choose to attend those classes. It is your choice to decide what topics to focus on, though we can offer advice if needed.

We accept direct payments on PayPal, or you can sign up for our PayPal subscription by going through our website. Select the learning plan you’d like to buy, and then select “Pay with Paypal” at the bottom. You’ll be able to make a PayPal account, or simply pay with your card on that screen.

Alternatively, we also accept payment on Wise.com, a money transferring website. We use Wise.com for students who do not have access to Paypal in their country, such as with our students from Turkey.

Our classes are designed for intermediate and advanced students. That means, at minimum, you’ll need to be a B1 level student to attend, because the classes are taught entirely in English. If you can understand spoken English and respond with basic answers, you’re ready for the classes. And If you can understand the majority of these FAQ questions and answers, you’re definitely ready for our classes.

The answer to this question depends on your current level, the amount of time you dedicate to studying and practicing, and the methods in which you’re learning. We recommend between one to two hours of private study for every one hour of live class you attend. That means, with the Silver plan, studying English for at least ten hours per week, or at least forty hours a month, would be ideal. If you have more time than that, we recommend studying even more.

By looking at this Cambridge study, we can see that reaching a C1 (advanced) level from B1 (intermediate) would take you approximately 500 hours of guided learning practice. If you stay motivated and study hard with the materials and books we provide, this means you’ll reach an advanced level in a year or less. If you’re already a B2 level student, you’ll become advanced even faster.

Yes! You’re welcome to join a free demo class to see if you enjoy the lessons and if you think they’ll be helpful. Just message us for more information!

Once you’ve purchased a lesson plan, you’ll be able to register and sign up for classes on our Booking Calendar page. Simply select the class you’d like to attend from the drop-down menu of our calendar, register by inputting your email address, and you’ll receive the Zoom link. We use this system to moderate the amount of students in each class, and to automate the link distribution. The whole process should take about fifteen seconds, and you’re able to register for the entire months’ worth of classes at a time, if you know when you’ll attend.

We use a private Telegram group chat to send out the lessons we discuss in class. So, if you wish to review a lesson we teach, you’ll be able to find it in the private group chat. We also use this group chat to send out helpful articles, links, videos, and so on, that you can use to supplement your learning. Students enjoy this group chat because it also allows them to ask the teachers questions they might have from their readings or worksheets.

If you are not the suitable level for our classes, or are unhappy with our teaching methods, you can request a refund at any time before your first four (4) classes of the month are complete.
